What this notice covers
DiyoEdu is a school management product from G NOX Tech. This notice applies to the DiyoEdu website you are reading, the online school platform that runs in a browser, the desktop application that runs on a school's own computers, and the DiyoEdu mobile application for staff and teachers.
In this notice, "we" refers to G NOX Tech, the team that builds and maintains DiyoEdu. It explains what information is handled, why it is needed, when it is shared, how it is protected, how long it is kept, and how to ask a question or make a request.
Some parts of DiyoEdu are managed by your school rather than by us. Where this notice says "your school", it means the school that has set up DiyoEdu for its staff, students and families. Products differ in how they handle information, and this notice points out those differences where they matter.
Who provides information and who manages school records
Schools create and manage the records inside DiyoEdu. Staff enter student details, attendance, grades and fees, and school administrators decide who in the school gets an account. For changes to a record — a correction, a copy or a deletion — contact your school first: it holds the day-to-day record and can act on it directly.
We build the software and, for the online edition, run the service that stores it. When your school contacts us for support, we may need to look at the information involved in your question so that we can help.
For questions about this notice, about how we handle information, or about an account your school cannot resolve, contact us using the details in the Contact section.
Information we handle
The categories below reflect how DiyoEdu is used today. Schools decide what to enter, and the product works from what the school provides.
| Information | Examples | Why it is needed | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|---|
| School and staff account details | Name, phone number, role in the school | Create and manage sign-ins, and reach account holders | Entered by the school when it sets up DiyoEdu |
| Student and family details | Student name, class, roll number, guardian contact details | Student records and communication with families | Entered by school staff |
| Academic records | Attendance, homework, grades, exam results, timetable | Everyday teaching, attendance and report-card features | Created by staff using DiyoEdu |
| Fees and accounts records | Fee structures, receipts, pending payments | Fee management and receipt features | Entered by school staff |
| Staff records | Schedules, payroll, staff records | Staff management features | Entered by the school |
| Support messages | What you tell us when you call about a problem | To diagnose and resolve issues for your school | You, when you contact support |
| Basic technical logs | IP address, time and pages requested | Security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting | Created automatically when your browser loads a page |
This website has no forms, no mailing list and no analytics. Visiting it adds only the standard technical logs in the last row.
How we use information
We use the categories above to run the features a school has chosen — student records, attendance, examinations, fees, staff management and reporting — to create and manage accounts, and to make sure the right people in a school can reach the right information.
We also use information to keep the service reliable, to prevent and investigate abuse or unauthorised access, to administer school accounts and subscriptions, and to send notices about the service itself.
We do not use school, student or staff information for advertising, and this website maintains no mailing list. Using DiyoEdu to run a school and marketing DiyoEdu to others are separate: nothing in your school's records is used to advertise the product to anyone.
Where this notice says we "may" do something, it happens only when the stated condition applies — for example, we may look at information when your school asks us for support.
Online and offline data
DiyoEdu Online runs in the browser and holds school records in the cloud service rather than on school computers. The online edition is the one that depends on the internet, and its records live on systems we operate.
DiyoEdu Desktop runs on a school's own computers. Day-to-day work continues offline. Records move as encrypted files through the school's own Google Drive. Records that exist only on a school computer are under the school's care: backups, screen locks and updates there are the school's to manage.
Offline does not mean isolated. Because desktop records are exchanged through the school's own Google Drive, copies can exist on school computers and in that Drive, and both deserve the same care.
The mobile application connects staff and teachers to the same school data over the internet. We do not publish hosting or backup arrangements on this page; if a detail like that matters to your school, ask our team before relying on it.
How information is protected
Access starts with accounts your school controls: who receives a login, and what that login can reach, is a school decision. We build DiyoEdu with account controls and take care in how the service is operated and maintained.
This notice does not describe hosting configuration, encryption or backup schedules, and we do not publish internal system details publicly. Our Security page explains what we can confirm today and how we think about the shared responsibility.
No system is completely secure. We would rather hear about a problem early than not at all — the Security page explains how to report one.
Retention and deletion
School records are kept while your school's account is active, because they exist to serve the school's day-to-day work. To correct, copy or delete a record inside DiyoEdu, start with your school.
Account and subscription information is kept while the account exists and, where we must keep business records, for as long as the law requires. We do not publish specific retention periods on this page; ask our team for the current periods that apply to your edition.
Copies on a school computer are the school's to delete. If backups are kept, they are separate from active records: removing something from the live service does not automatically remove an older backup, and we do not promise instant complete erasure. Technical logs from this website are kept only as long as they are needed for security and troubleshooting.
Children and school communities
DiyoEdu is used by schools, for schools. A student's attendance, grades and similar records are school records, handled at the school's authorisation as part of running the school.
Students and parents do not create DiyoEdu accounts themselves through this website; access is arranged by the school. If a student uses DiyoEdu, it is through access their school has set up for them.
Parents with a question about their child's information should contact the school first — the school knows what was entered and can correct it directly.
Choices and requests
To correct or update information in DiyoEdu, contact your school: it manages the records and the accounts, and it can also remove access for people who have left.
To ask us something — about this notice, about an account, or about how information is handled — call the numbers in the Contact section. Tell us what you need and how we can reach you safely. We may need to check that a request really comes from the person it affects before acting on it, especially where account information is involved.
This website has no cookie settings to manage, because it sets no cookies. Where the product shows an optional setting or permission, you will see it at the point it applies and can choose then.
Where information is processed
This website loads fonts from Google Fonts, which can involve your browser contacting Google's servers outside Nepal. That is the cross-border transfer this website itself makes.
For the product, we do not publish where information is stored or processed, and we will not claim that all information stays in Nepal unless we can verify that across hosting, backups, support tools and integrations. If location matters to your school, ask our team about your edition before relying on any particular arrangement.
Changes to this notice
The date shown with this notice is when it was last updated. When we make a material change — to what is handled, why, or how long it is kept — we will update this page and revise that date.
How a material change is communicated, for example through the product or through your school, will depend on the change and will be described when we publish it. Earlier versions of this notice can be requested through the Contact section, and we will provide one if we hold it.
